About Me...
My name is Danny Reynoso. I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. First and foremost, I'm a husband, I'm a "dog-and-cat-daddy", I'm a brother, I'm an uncle, I'm an educator, I play music alongside my "rock-n-roll family" of friends, I'm a television show host, I'm a retired professional wrestler, and now, I am a BRAIN TUMOR FIGHTER.
In the Spring of 2017, I went to a hearing specialist to address the loss of hearing I had been experiencing over the years. Naturally, I attributed this hearing loss as a result of years of playing and listening to loud music without consistent hearing protection. The specialist was concerned because my hearing was noticeably worse on my right-hand side, so he scheduled me for an MRI to see what was going on. The results of this MRI turned out to be a major game-changer in my life. I was diagnosed with having an Acoustic Neuroma / Vestibular Schwannoma on the right-hand side of my brain. In other words, I have a brain tumor. |
Brain cancer took my father from me before I was ready to say goodbye to him, and although mine isn't a cancerous tumor, losing my father to a brain tumor and then being diagnosed with a brain tumor myself hasn't been the easiest thing to deal with. In coping with this news, I've had an incredible amount of support from my wife, family, and the select group of friends that I have personally shared my story with. Now, it's time to share my story with you. In doing this, I'm hoping to better process the feelings I am going through during this journey of mine. I'm hoping to reach out to the people I care about who may not already know what I'm currently going through in regards to my health and overall well-being. Finally, I'm hoping to reach out to people out there who are finding themselves in the midst of their own journey as a brain tumor fighter, whether you have been diagnosed, or a loved one has. I don't have all the answers, but I definitely have my share of questions.
Thank you for stopping by! Danny Reynoso |
